with increased heat in the environment, how do you cope

For the environmentally savvy and even negligent ones, the current heat rise is a call for concern. in my work plce, i have seen cases of people who just faint and collapse hence making an unexpected visit to the health centres, a compulsory holiday i would say. this cas eis therefore not negligible but should be adequately prepared for because as The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) reported it, Nigerians to prepare for more hot days and warm nights

Smart adaptation strategies are therefore needed in combating the damage that has been done.
The common effects of heat waves on humans are dehydration which can lead to fainting or death, chickenpox, heat rash, and psychological stress.
In order to cope with the current climate conditions, experts have advised that we

1. Should drink more water to keep hydrated.

2. Keep a water bottle with you to remind you to take water.

3. Avoid alcoholic and caffeinated drinks during this period.
4. Reduce intake of foods that are rich in protein because they increase metabolic heat. Fresh foods, fruits and vegetables are better options.
5. Monitor your blood pressure
6. Should, as much as possible, stay indoors between 12noon and 3pm
7. Should take cold baths before going to bed at night
Forget not, your health is your wealth; one complements the other.
