Following the alleged disappearance of more than N2 billion naira from the coffers of the University of Ilorin, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will quiz the institution's immediate vice-chancellor, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede and the incumbent, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali. It was learnt that the ‎leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), petitioned the anti-graft agency against the management of the foremost institution in Nigeria. Oloyede was recently appointment registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) but his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari has been protested against by ASUU. Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has said that his greatest fear is not political battles or controversies, but not leaving a lasting legacy which will impact positively on the lives of Nigerians. He made the revelation during an interview with NIGERIA NOW Magazine in Abuja. When asked what he would consider his greatest challenge since he became Speaker, he stated that problems will always occur, and as leaders, such problems should always be dealt with. “I tell people that one of the things God has developed real well in me is to remove fear from me. Politics: Finally President Buhari Return To Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari arrived at the country today around 4 a.m.After 51 days he left the country on a medical vacation. Owing to the closure of the Abuja airport, presidency sources informed THISDAY that his plane was scheduled to land at the Kaduna airport in the wee hours of Friday, following which he was to be flown by helicopter to the President Villa, Abuja. The sources also revealed that the president might address the nation Friday after his long absence, in order to quell any concerns over his capacity to govern.
