APC win Etsako

Mr. Oghuma johnson of APC emerged winner of Etsako Federal Constituency by-election in Edo with 39,876 votes defeating the People’s Democratic Party candidate Mr Jude Imagwe who polled 18,193 votes.




Prof. Shola Omotola (The Returning Officer for the election) announced the result at about 12:45 am on Sunday said the APC candidate won having polled the highest number of votes cast.

Following the alleged disappearance of more than N2 billion naira from the coffers of the University of Ilorin, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will quiz the institution's immediate vice-chancellor, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede and the incumbent, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali. It was learnt that the ‎leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), petitioned the anti-graft agency against the management of the foremost institution in Nigeria. Confusion as Google Names Two Presidents For Gambia [PHOTO]

For all intents and purposes, Gambia currently has two presidents; Yahya Jammeh who's been there for 22 years yet has refused to step down after he lost the election and Adama Barrow, President-elect, whose inauguration is expected to hold today at noon. Though The Gambian people have spoken about who they want to lead them, Google is yet to decide and have listed both men as presidents. Meanwhile, Gambia is reported to be very quiet today with the streets eerily empty. The country seems to be holding her breath. See photos below:
