Following the alleged disappearance of more than N2 billion naira from the coffers of the University of Ilorin, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will quiz the institution's immediate vice-chancellor, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede and the incumbent, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali. It was learnt that the ‎leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), petitioned the anti-graft agency against the management of the foremost institution in Nigeria. Today is world cultural day and as celebrated in the nations of the world, Nigerian also join the teeming world population to make it a day worthwhile. Its a ridiculous celebration though as teachers were not informed about the modalities of celebration, students were not exempted as well. In oke ogun area of Oyo state, pupils of primary schools were ubiquitous in the environment during school hours till around 11am because they had to back home to get dressed for the cliche of all cliches today. As we join the world to celebrate world cultural day and appreciate those at the echelons of power for making it a reality, this is a call to them to improve on their means of information dissemination to enhance adequate and effective celebration. Politics: Finally President Buhari Return To Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari arrived at the country today around 4 a.m.After 51 days he left the country on a medical vacation. Owing to the closure of the Abuja airport, presidency sources informed THISDAY that his plane was scheduled to land at the Kaduna airport in the wee hours of Friday, following which he was to be flown by helicopter to the President Villa, Abuja. The sources also revealed that the president might address the nation Friday after his long absence, in order to quell any concerns over his capacity to govern.
