Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has said that his greatest fear is not political battles or controversies, but not leaving a lasting legacy which will impact positively on the lives of Nigerians. He made the revelation during an interview with NIGERIA NOW Magazine in Abuja. When asked what he would consider his greatest challenge since he became Speaker, he stated that problems will always occur, and as leaders, such problems should always be dealt with. “I tell people that one of the things God has developed real well in me is to remove fear from me. I fear nothing. He stated that the only thing that frightens him is if the House he leads is unable to leave landmark achievements.

Politics:Senator Adeleke’s Body Returns To Hospital For a Cadaver

Drama in Ede, the home town of Isiaka Adeleke, as his lifeless body was returned to the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, for an autopsy. This is against the expectation of sympathisers who waited as the body was earlier being prepared for burial, according to Islamic rites.  The autopsy option, sources say, is being taken following rumours that he was poisoned at a political meeting on Saturday. Mr. Adeleke was preparing to run for the Osun governorship election in 2018 before his death on Sunday morning.

Chief Chekwas Okorie, the national chairman of the United Progressives Party (UPP), reacted to the statement by presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, that President Muhammadu Buhari will win if he contests another Presidential election.  According to VANGUARD, Okorie said, ''Mr Adesina is not reading the mood of the nation correctly. Politics 15 Ambassadorial Nominees Almost Due For Retirement

    15 of President Buhari ambassadorial nominees are already at the end of their public service careers.     According to the online media platform, Mrs. Vivian Okeke (Anambra), Mrs. Nonye Udo (Anambra), Mr. Munir Liman (Bauchi), Mr. Lawal Abba Gashagar (Borno), Mr. Martin Cobham (Cross River) and Mr. Manaja Isa Tula ( Gombe). Others are Mr. Habib Abubakar Goni (Gombe), Mr. Enoch Peer Duchi (Kaduna), Mr. Rabiu Akawu ( Kano), Mr. Ahmed Inusa (Nassarawa), Mr. Isa Ibrahim (Niger), Mr. Bankole Adeoye (Ogun), Mr. Kenneth Nwachuku (Imo), Mr. Emmanuel Oguntuase (Ekiti) and Mrs. Abibat Adekunbi Sonaike (Ogun) are among those nearing the end of their career. 6 of the above listed ministerial nominees are due for retirement this year while the other 9 will retire in 2018.
